Alleged Melbourne paedophile childcare worker Joshua Brown worked at four more daycare centres than previously revealed, according to Victoria Police.

Brown is facing 70 charges related to child abuse, including child rape, which allegedly occurred at centres where he worked. Earlier this month, police revealed he worked at more than 20 centres.

Joshua Dale Brown worked at more than 20 childcare centres across Melbourne and Geelong.

Joshua Dale Brown worked at more than 20 childcare centres across Melbourne and Geelong.

The new centres included are: Kids Academy Waratah Estate in Mickleham, where Brown worked for one day on August 29, 2024; Milestones Early Learning in Tarneit on September 10 and 13, 2024; Milestones Early Learning in Braybrook on December 4 and 6, 2024; and Milestones Early Learning in Greensborough on December 5, 2024, January 31, 2025 and February 27, 2025.

“Each piece of information has to be individually assessed and verified before it can be used as part of the investigation or released to the public,” Victoria Police Acting Commander Janet Stevenson said.

“I understand there are people who will be frustrated, and I want to reinforce that this is a continually evolving and changing situation. What hasn’t changed is that this investigation remains the highest priority for Victoria Police.”

All the new centres are owned by national childcare giant Affinity, which has been contacted for comment.

One centre has been removed from the list of Brown’s workplaces: Papilio Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing between August 22, 2024, and March 12, 2025.

“Further investigation has since determined this information was incorrect and the centre has been removed from the list,” police said.

According to investigators, Brown worked at 23 childcare centres between January 2017 and May 2025.

Authorities are in the process of contacting families who were at the centres during Brown’s employment there.
