How to play it: Bombelleistic WIN.

Race 4

12. Blue Monday was on debut at Kembla Grange and hit the line well to be a close-up second. She’s drawn ideally here and can figure in the finish again on the strength of the first start effort. 11. Zeema trialled well before resuming with a fourth at Kembla Grange and warrants respect again. 1. Brutal Advance ran fourth in the same race Blue Monday contested last time out and has claims again, while 2. Cold Mist resumed with a fourth at Queanbeyan and is worthy of thought.

How to play it: Blue Monday WIN.

Race 5

1. Cossack Warrior ran home well for a last start second at Canberra and his first two runs back from a spell were also solid. He gets his chance to break through in this. 7. Grey Secret wasn’t beaten far when third on the Beaumont track at Newcastle when last produced and can make an impact in this. 6. Jamarni ran well when placed at Kembla Grange when resuming and was a last start fifth at Hawkesbury. 3. Miss Stalwart is talented on her day and an improved showing wouldn’t surprise.

How to play it: Cossack Warrior EACH WAY.

Race 6

2. Vella Fox was a winner at Canberra three starts back in October and then ran well at Albury before a midfield run at Canberra last time out. He can bounce back to form here. 1. Panic was solid enough when resuming at Kembla Grange and then was down the track in the Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai. This is an easier assignment. 6. Princess Halo was placed at the Sapphire Coast before a last start fifth at Canterbury and should be thereabouts in this grade. 3. Kattegat is drawn to get the run of the race from the inside barrier.

How to play it: Vella Fox WIN.

Race 7

11. Dumebi won a trial before resuming from a spell and running well when third at Newcastle behind Danish Prince. He should be better for that hit-out and a forward showing is on the cards. 10. Lambay won well at Gundagai before a last start fifth at Mudgee. This looks within his capabilities. 7. Iconic Treasure has been tackling city grade races of late and will find this an easier assignment. 5. Direct Fire was placed at Kembla Grange two starts ago and has claims here on best form.

How to play it: Dumebi WIN.

Race 8

6. Raiderlicious was second-up from a spell and only having her third race start when scoring a good win at Albury when last produced. She raced on the speed and held on well in that event and is poised to do the same in this line-up. 1. Dolzino is fresh for this having been down the track at Kembla Grange in September. 9. Too Darn Sassy has been just behind the placings of late and can get into the minor money in this. 11. Maybe Maureen hasn’t been far away in both runs back from a spell and has claims.
