Two people have been arrested near where another person was shot dead in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to reports of a public place shooting on Carinya Street at Blacktown about 11.50am on Friday, with two people arrested on Carinya Street after a short pursuit.

One person was treated at the scene but was not transported to hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said, referring further questions to NSW Police.
Police said there is no threat to the public but urged people avoid the area due to an ongoing police operation.
