Track Soft 5 and rail True.
RACE 1
1. Chillero is a gelded son of multiple Group 1 winner Pierro on debut for the Todd Smart stable in Canberra in what is an even and tough maiden. Liked the way he trialled a fortnight ago, drawn to get a handy run, and stable has a good strike rate with the new ones. 9. Voltage Lass is a Canberra filly by Too Darn Hot having her first start for the Danielle Seib stable. Watch the betting with gear additions in play after two quiet trials. 7. Dawn On Me, by Brutal, also debuts off a quiet trial for the Joseph-Jones yard in Canberra. 2. Falcon Gold stuck on well from the front when resuming off a 10-month break, while 8. This Ain’t Texas can improve sharply with gear changes after a flat debut run at Nowra, and 4. Reveillon resumes.

RACE 2
4. Hellinda is a versatile and fit Canberra sprinter well-placed to claim a third win from his last four starts. Went home best in this grade three runs ago before doing it tough from a wide draw in a much deeper CL3 Highway. Cruised home from the front when dropping sharply in class last start, and well treated under 58.5kg after the claim from a handy draw. The one to beat. 1. Princess Halo is a threat dropping in grade third-up from a freshen. 7. Flip The Switch is a Victorian-based mare and big betting watch, switching states after winning two of her last three, including this track in weaker grade four weeks back. 9. Noctua is best of the rest fifth-up.

RACE 3
12. Rose Diamond is an ultra-honest mare who finds a suitable race to finally break through second-up. Has been sparingly raced all year on both sides of the border, but always in and around the money and well in the market. Led for a long way first-up to collect a seventh placing from nine starts, and gets to a more suitable distance here. 10. Lady Yarrow is a provincial mare also with a consistent record having placed in four of her last five, including missing by a nose against stiffer opposition 16 days ago. Bursting to break through, but wouldn’t be diving into too short a price from a wide draw. Gap to the rest headed by 8. Argantorati getting over more ground fifth-up, while 3. Strassman drops in grade second-up with gear changes.

RACE 4
1. Bombelleistic is a capable Canberra four-year-old resuming in a thin race from a low draw. Hasn’t publicly trialled, but done plenty of work and comes to handy quickly, already being a fresh winner. Drawn to get an economical run just off speed, and is the one to beat. 7. Johntialjo returns for his first run since mid-winter behind a quiet trial. 2. Magic Shot is over the odds second-up from the inside draw, with blinkers going on. 6. Cosmic Ride has been up for a long time, and mixing her form. Shapes under the odds back up in grade from a wide barrier.

RACE 5
10. Sebastian’s Flyer has always been an honest yet underrated provincial-based six-year-old. Has been up for a while, but never finished further back than fourth, nearly always running home from well back. Like the pattern here coming back 400m in distance to the mile three weeks between runs, and drawn to get to the outside at the top of the straight. 6. Midnight Affair is tracking towards a third win third-up after working home strongly from well off speed in a deeper BM 58 at Gundagai. 2. Flashy Icon is set to peak second-up after working home OK resuming in a deeper race a fortnight ago. 1. Ana Carolina can improve sharply second-up. 3. Ken’ker is hard fit, and a knockout chance at good odds coming back in grade, while 11. Evokes back in grade and trip can add plenty of value into trifecta and first fours.

RACE 6
2. McTominay is a lightly raced Canberra five-year-old poised to strike first-up from a soft draw in another wide and open race. No public trials, but reportedly been in work for some time, and has enough tactical speed to find an ideal on speed position. 11. Casino Shaw is value deep into the campaign from a softer draw. 10. You Count was unwanted in betting third-up, and ran accordingly, but settles closer in the run from this draw, and significant gear changes have been made. 13. Empress Irene improves into her third start from the inside draw. 1. Setta Icon resuming off two forward trials, and 5. Lovehunter who has blinkers replacing winkers and comes through a strong form-line, can both figure in the minor money at big odds, while 4. Brass Monkeys is a market watch up a furlong in trip for his second start.

15. Jazz All Knight is a hard-fit mare, down in weight fifth-up for a very open race, with blinkers being added. Has been only fair to the line for much of this campaign, but often without luck and carrying bigger weights. Was only a bit over two lengths from Hellinda last start who goes around as a serious chance earlier in the program. 16. Sunrise Ridge is a lightly raced South Coast filly who won a moderate maiden here first-up after being backed from $6 into $3.90. 3. Burrowa is a reliable weight carrier, and well over the odds second-up from a soft draw. 9. Friskee Frog is consistently in the money, and gets his chance to claim a long-overdue second win fourth-up with a light weight after the jockey’s claim. 8. Hell Of A Show ran home well from midfield to claim a very weak BM 58 last start, but taking on some better ones here. 4. Nights Inferno drops in grade third-up, but drawn off the track, and 7. Sontay fitter second-up, can both finish in the minor money. 14. Ciao Bella Mia is an improving mare also in the each-way mix fourth-up.
How to play it: Jazz All Knight each way
