The Miles government had slashed registration fees by 20 per cent from September 16, 2024, for 12 months.
That reduced a 12-month registration bill for a private four-cylinder vehicle by almost $85.
The 20 per cent discount was in addition to the freezing of other government fees and charges by Labor, which was also discontinued by the LNP.
The state government expected to receive $873 million in revenue from vehicle registrations in 2024-25 and $886 million next financial year, according to the budget handed down in June.
