Brazil's supreme court has issued a house arrest order for the former president, Jair Bolsonaro, for allegedly breaking a ban on using social media.
The decision comes a day after protests in support of the former right-wing president - who is standing trial for allegedly plotting a coup - were held across Brazil.
Bolsonaro is accused of seeking to overturn the 2022 election which saw him defeated by his left-wing opponent, the current president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
