Angela Fleming, wife of the late Jim Fleming, who launched the Jewel supermarket chain, has sold her Bellevue Hill home for about $10.3 million to a mystery buyer, local sources have revealed.

It’s understood Angela, who bought the four-bedroom, three-bathroom abode for $6.5 million in 2015 and made some modern updates, is embarking on a sea change.

A sold sticker went up on the listing that indicated a sale by private treaty on March 24, with the sale price undisclosed.

It will be left to settlement to reveal the exact price and buyer’s identity as listing agents Adam Reichman of Ray White Double Bay and Paul Langsam of Raine & Horne Double Bay were tight-lipped when contacted by this masthead.

Angela Fleming paid $6.5 million for the property before making some modern updates.

In his later years, he was involved in the racing industry, becoming chairman of the Sydney Turf Club from 1983 to 1990.
