Two cars have been set alight outside a home in Sydney’s western suburbs, with dramatic vision showing fire and smoke filling the air as the vehicles burnt.
About 5.30am on Tuesday, emergency crews were called to the blazes in Granville, with footage obtained by Nine’s Today showing a ute and a station wagon burning brightly with the flames stretching several metres into the air.

The fires were burning dangerously close to a suburban home on Wallace Street, but six fire trucks and 22 firefighters quickly arrived on the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze by 6.30am.
The front of the home sustained minor damage, but no one was injured.
Eyewitnesses told Nine’s Today that there was suspicious activity on the street early on Tuesday morning, reporting loud bangs and a vehicle driving away.

The destroyed vehicles have been declared a crime scene, and NSW Police are now investigating the cause of the blazes, confirming they are treating the incident as suspicious.
