A teenager is fighting for his life in a Gold Coast hospital after sustaining serious head injuries during an alleged assault at Varsity Lakes overnight.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the late-teenage male was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a “potentially life-threatening condition”.
It followed an alleged assault at Christine Avenue about 10.46pm on Friday.

The ambulance spokesperson said a woman in her 20s was also taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Comment has been sought from the Queensland Police Service.
