“There’ll be some storm activity around,” the Bureau of Meteorology’s Daniel Hayes said.
“It picks up a bit around Monday.
“Certainly not on the scale of storm outbreaks that we’ve seen on previous weekends so far this season.”
Rainfall is likely to stay quite minimal, with five to 10 millimetres predicted.
“There could be some fairly localised falls that do go a bit higher, push up into the 15-millimetre, 20-millimetre, 30-millimetre range,” Hayes said.
“The showers pretty much are all done by around about Tuesday and then fairly settled weather through most of next week.”
Temperatures are expected to peak in the next seven days on Monday, with a high of 33 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.

“Temperatures will start to warm again towards the end of next week, but we’ll stay around about 26, 27, through Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. We’re back up to around about 29 by Friday.”
While BOM does not predict past the next seven days, Hayes said next weekend is likely to be pretty settled based on current modelling.
However, some activity may develop the week of Christmas.
“It might be starting to clear by Christmas Day.”
