Selections based on a soft track.
Race 1
10. Mutiny is on debut here after having one barrier trial in which she was beaten just on four lengths. She is a daughter on Anders and is in a good local stable with Chelsea Hillier to ride. 6. Priscila Statement ran third and fourth at Muswellbrook and Scone at her only two starts and resumes here on the back of a second in a Muswellbrook trial. She looms as a leading chance. 8. Ellofadude is a Written By gelding having his first start and has had two trials either side of a break. He won the latest of them at Muswellbrook and looks prime to run well. 4. Wanavan has been placed in four of 10 starts and was placed behind Ellofadude in a trial in preparation for this.
How to play it: Mutiny each way.

Race 2
1. Money Games is a gelding by Casino Prince having his first start in a race. He’s had three trials in preparation with two earlier in the year and then another recent one leading into this. He looks set to run well with Christian Reith taking the ride. 2. Hinto raced on the speed at this track when resuming from a spell and battled on well to finish second. Another forward showing is on the cards. 3. Sethnique disappointed at Bathurst two starts ago and then ran fourth at Bowraville when last produced. 4. Tuncurry has been racing well without winning and hasn’t been beaten too far at Port Macquarie and Muswellbrook at his past two starts.
How to play it: Money Games to win.
Race 3
2. Taipan Legend has hit his straps of late having scored a strong win at this track when racing on the speed before finishing a last-start second here when again racing on the pace and battling on strongly. He’s drawn to get a good run again and can be in the finish. 5. Deebo won well at this track when resuming, then was midfield at Scone before a last-start third here. He’s up in distance for this and can give plenty of cheek. 1. Invincible Red comes out of the same race Deebo contested last time out and can get into the minor placings this time. 7. Set To Prophet has been placed in his past three starts and another bold showing is expected.
How to play it: Taipan Legend to win.
Race 4
7. Silent Ace was a winner at Dubbo three runs ago and comes into this after a last-start second at Narromine when settling back and making a mid-race move to get into the placings. He only needs to have maintained that form to be difficult to hold out. 2. Recovery Road is a former Victorian that has had two starts since joining the new stable. He can improve here on his two starts in this area. 3. Girrawheen had been racing well before losing its rider early in the event at Narromine last start, and he gets his chance to bounce back. 1. Reflecting Fame followed a fourth at Scone with a last-start seventh at this track, and he can figure here.
How to play it: Silent Ace to win.
Race 5
6. Hulu is a talented mare that has won five from 15 starts and was a winner at Muswellbrook two starts ago before a down-the-track effort on the Kensington track behind subsequent Randwick Saturday winner Idle Flyer. This looks more suitable. 9. Enterprise Legend ran second at Dubbo before a last-start eighth at Warwick Farm. He was a winner at this track four starts ago. 1. Black Duke is a handy performer at best and wasn’t beaten far at Mudgee at his last start. 7. Tainui was a winner at this track, then failed to beat a runner home in a Scone Highway before being spelled. He resumes here.
How to play it: Hulu to win.
Race 6
5. Nation Changing is a promising galloper that won his first two starts at Scone and Armidale in good style before being spelled. He resumed with a fourth at Scone behind Cool Storm when beaten less than one and a half lengths. He’s drawn well here and can bounce back. 13. Shotgun Bella won well on debut here in March and resumed with a placing at Tamworth on protest as favourite after striking trouble. 12. Crimson Bonnet was placed here last time out and has claims again, while 4. He’s My Warrior has been racing well and warrants plenty of thought.
How to play it: Nation Changing to win.
Race 7
6. Halo Phenomena made his debut for a new stable with a win at this track in April and was then spelled. He’s been placed in a recent Muswellbrook trial and is primed to run well. 3. Enniroc was a winner here before a last-start fourth at this track and should be prominent again. 2. Not Written Off was placed in a couple of runs before a last-start eighth at Newcastle, while 7. Pelette ran well when placed at Muswellbrook last time out and can get into the minor money again.
How to play it: Halo Phenomena to win.
