3. Jack Howarth: Missed an early tackle on Walsh before he was replaced by Tyran Wishart midway through the first half, having suffered a groin injury. 4
4. Nick Meaney: Cut through in the eighth minute to score Melbourne’s opening try, beating three defenders. Kicked three goals from four attempts. 6
5. Xavier Coates: Strong kick-returns helped put Melbourne on the front foot. Powerful run in 20th minute earned Storm a penalty. 6

6. Cameron Munster: Had Brisbane worried every time he touched the ball. A threat in attack but also coming up with some crucial tackles, and his kicking game has been spot-on. 7

8. Stefano Utoikamanu: Lost the ball 30m out from his line in the 22nd minute. But there has been no lack of effort from the NSW Origin prop, who made eight hit-ups in his first stint. 6
9. Harry Grant: Conceded a penalty in the first set for holding down Payne Haas, which gifted the Broncos attacking position and led to their opening try. Quickly made amends and had racked up 20-plus tackles by half-time. 6
