Two people, believed to be a mother and child, have been found dead in a sprawling home in Brisbane’s west on Monday afternoon.
Queensland police confirmed officers visited the Kenmore Hills property in response to a welfare check before the tragic discovery.
A spokesman from the Queensland Police Service said investigations into the incident were ongoing on Monday evening, but there was no ongoing threat to the community.

“A crime scene has been declared at Kenmore Hills following the death of two people today,” the spokesman said in a statement.
“Around 12.43pm, police and emergency services were called to a property in relation to a welfare check.
“Two persons were located deceased.”
