We want to hear from you

By Anthony Segaert

Today is one of our favourite days in the newsroom. While we’re often found reporting on bad news, today we’re celebrating the years of hard work graduates have put in to their studies.

We want to celebrate as many of you as we can today – not just those getting top marks, but everyone who has achieved what they needed or wanted, and those who made it to the end of the year.

Band six results are by no means the only measure of success today. For most students, improvement in their marks from trial exams, or getting over the line into band 4 or 5, will be a moment of triumph. Whatever success means to you, we’re here for it.

So get in touch with us via the box below. Let us know your name, your school, your contact details and a bit about yourself. What marks have you got? Are you thrilled? Nervous? A mix of everything? Getting in touch below will give us permission to share your story, and a reporter might get in contact with you.

What’s happening today

Around 6am, students will receive a text message from NESA, the NSW Education Standards Authority, with their HSC marks.

At 9am, ATARs – the rankings used for entry into tertiary degrees – will be released online.

While all is happening, our team of reporters and data analysts are working frantically in the background to analyse every mark. At noon, we’ll be able to bring you the big news: the school that ranked #1, plus lots more analysis on it all.

Good morning
