An inferno at an auto and tyre shop destroyed multiple cars and left one person seriously injured on Tuesday.

The fire began before 1pm at the Caboolture Tyres & More business on Peter Rash Court.

“When crews first arrived, we were met with pretty severe fire conditions,” a Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said.

“There’s a lot of flammable liquids – gasses, you know, chemicals.”

A man believed to be the manager of the business suffered severe burns and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He was initially reported to be in a life-threatening condition, but had improved by Tuesday night.

Various cars, including a Holden Commodore owned by a girl called Mia, were destroyed.

“I don’t think it’s really hit me properly, but it will,” she told Nine News.

“It’s just so s**t looking at it like that, to be honest.”

It was unclear what caused the blaze.

“At the moment, we’re unable to make entry really,” the fire department spokesperson said. “It’s going to take a little while to sift through all of that.”
