A man accused of murdering his wife in an incident involving a tractor slasher has appeared in court as a magistrate determines if he will face trial.

Emergency services found the body of Amarjit Kaur Sardar, 41, at a property in Woodhill, south of Brisbane, in February last year.

Her husband, Yadwinder Singh, was charged with murder and interfering with a corpse.

Singh appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court for his committal hearing on Friday morning, wearing a black T-shirt and represented by lawyer Andrew Bale.

Singh appeared emotionless as he sat with his arms crossed beside a Corrective Services officer, and at times looked at the floor.

The court was expected to hear further details from the prosecution about how Sardar died after suffering critical injuries.

Police said Singh, a truck driver who was born in Khabe Rajputan in India, called emergency services to report the death of his wife.

The pair were married with two teenage children, and had owned the 55-hectare farming property, containing cane and animals.

The court was expected to hear from multiple witnesses on Friday.

More to come.
