If the holidays this festive season have you hankering for a career change, a property in country Victoria might be the switch you’ve been seeking.
A Christmas tree farm is up for grabs in an idyllic pocket of East Gippsland.
The farm has been a community institution for the past 10 years.
Over the years people have travelled from as far afield as Melbourne, 3½ hours to the west, to pick up a Christmas tree.
Now a new owner is being sought for the 55-hectare property.
Hundreds of pointed firs are dotted in neat rows over the fields, ranging in size from dainty saplings to giants over 240 centimetres tall.

Elsewhere, 600 fruit trees could provide an extra income stream.
The main residence is a modern brick house with four bedrooms and plenty of space for entertaining.
The house is completely off-grid thanks to a generous solar array, a generator, four dams and four 22,000-litre water tanks.

The property is for sale with Kim and Kane Ashwood from Ashwood & Associates Real Estate.
It is listed with a guide price of $2.3 million.
The East Gippsland estate is not the only Christmas tree farm in Australia set to change hands.
Up in Queensland, a property with over 3800 Christmas trees is currently on the market.
The listing proved popular on social media, with dozens of daydreamers excited about the chance to run their own festive business.
Those with modest budgets don’t need to miss out on the fun.
A few minutes south of Daylesford is an eight-hectare bush block once used as a Christmas tree farm.
While that chapter may have ended, there are still four hectares of Radiata Pine trees left over from the property’s past.
The retreat is on the market for just $265,000.
