A woman has allegedly been choked and sexually assaulted in a terrifying attack by a masked man wearing latex gloves and armed with a knife, who also demanded she hand over cash before fleeing the scene.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested by sex crime detectives, accused of attacking the woman, a sex worker, at Ryde in Sydney’s north at the weekend.

The man allegedly threatened her with a knife at the Blaxland Road address about 10.25pm on Saturday, physically and sexually assaulting her, before fleeing with the cash.
He was arrested at Castle Hill on Wednesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault inflicting actual bodily harm, attempted aggravated sexual assault, intentionally choking and armed robbery.
The man is due to face Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
