Two complainants have dropped out of the indecent assault and sexual touching case against Alan Jones, reducing the total number of charges from 26 to 22.

The 85-year-old initially pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching, which related to nine complainants over two decades.

Last month a man known only as “Complainant K” withdrew from the case. He previously accounted for a single charge, having alleged the former broadcaster “grabbed (him) on his bottom during an event” at Tamworth between October and November 2013.

Now, two further complainants – “Complainant D” and “Complainant G” – have also been dismissed. They accounted for four charges of indecent assault.

“Complainant D” alleged Jones touched his bottom, pulled his scrotum and stroked his thigh, over seven months in 2008 at a Kiama restaurant.

“Complainant G” alleged Jones touched his leg close to his groin during a performance at the Sydney Opera House in 2014.

A total of 22 charges relating to six complainants remain. Jones is accused of committing the crimes at his harbourside apartment, his farm at Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands, and a lower north shore restaurant. Others allegedly occurred at functions and events throughout Sydney.

The charges date from 2003 to 2020. They include allegations of kissing, touching and squeezing bottoms, pushing his genitals against a thigh, as well as touching, rubbing and squeezing penises – once while masturbating.
