Two people have been killed after their car was struck by a freight train at a level crossing on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Reddies Road in Cressy – about 140km west of Melbourne – after reports a train and car had collided.

Two people in the car, who are yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. The train driver and two staff members onboard the train survived.
Victoria Police said the circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established, with an investigation ongoing into how it occurred.
