Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

1. Recognition is a Shamus Award gelding making his debut here. He’s had two trials at Orange and performed well in the latest of them when finishing second. Expect him to figure prominently. 2. Bounding Bon has been placed in four of seven starts including his latest two at Wagga and Orange and he can show up again. 3. Dubbo Boy showed improvement when a last-start second at Moruya and has the ability to make an impact again. 10. Splendid Magnus had her first start for a new stable last time out at Moruya and shouldn’t be underestimated.
How to play it: Recognition WIN.

Race 2

6. Xtrascent debuts here from an awkward alley but ran well in a Canberra trial in preparation. He looks to have the talent to run well. 8. Bedda Mia has been racing well with three placings from her latest three starts and should be thereabouts again. 4. Rusky Ripper was placed at Orange two starts ago and can be prominent again with a repeat of that. 11. Miss Strategic is on debut and she wasn’t beaten too far in her only trial.
How to play it: Xtrascent WIN.

Race 3

12. Revenue Raiser was midfield on the Beaumont track at Newcastle on debut then ran well when second behind the promising Tropic at Gilgandra. This looks made to order. 2. Lucky Star was close-up when second at Bathurst when last produced and can be thereabouts with a repeat. 7. Smichov has been placed in both starts including a narrow second at Orange last time out. 8. Alabama Hussy has shown talent and is a last-start Canberra placegetter.
How to play it: Revenue Raiser EACH WAY.

Race 4

4. Imastatement has been racing in good form with wins at Dubbo and Gilgandra at her latest two starts. She’s drawn wide here but can go on with the job. 5. Son Of Eureka was placed at Gundagai before being close-up when unplaced at Nowra when last produced and should be prominent. 7. Our Little Star has a solid overall record and can get into the placings without surprising. 11. Wonderful Mistake was a Gundagai winner three starts ago and is not out of this.
How to play it: Imastatement WIN.

Race 5

6. Deepwater Artist was an Albury winner on debut and then ran second on the Riverside at Wagga before an eighth at Albury. He resumes here and is poised to sprint well fresh. Another forward showing looks set to be on the cards. 8. Onya Lional has been close-up in his most two recent runs and bears close watching. 10. Soho Sushi is a last-start second placegetter at Nowra and is drawn ideally. 11. Twin Gift won at Orange two starts ago and can figure again on the strength of that performance.
How to play it: Deepwater Artist WIN.

Race 6

2. Acantilado led throughout to score at Wangaratta last time out. He drops in distance from 1100m to 950m but looks to have the pace to race on the speed again and he can give cheek. 5. Bolo Miss has a win and three placings from your starts and warrants respect, while 7. Giza won at Moruya two starts ago and has claims. 6. Desirous has scored in good style in two of her latest starts at Warren either side of a failure at Orange. She looks set to give a sight again here.
How to play it: Acantilado WIN.

Race 7

7. Jolly Good Fellow resumes here and wasn’t beaten far when last of four on the Kensington track in October. He should appreciate a good speed up front in this. 2. Panic has been just behind the placings in two recent Moruya runs and is worth thought. 3. Blitzar bobs up every now and again and a forward showing wouldn’t surprise. 1. Craving Magic is handy at best and worth including among the main chances.
How to play it: Jolly Good Fellow EACH WAY.

Race 8

12. Talkachino has looked the goods winning two in a row and Tamworth and Orange. He’s charged home to win each of those races and another bold showing is on the cards while in his current form. 6. Dynamic One hasn’t been too far away in three starts since a Gundagai win and looms as a chance. 8. Shadow Dane has been placed at Tamworth and Dubbo of late and won at Wellington four runs back. 3. Fox Appeal wasn’t too far away at Flemington when last produced.
How to play it: Talkachino EACH WAY.

Race 9

5. The Artefact was a trial winner at Bathurst in October and then followed that up with an impressive resuming victory at Mudgee. She raced on the speed in that event and fought on well and is deserving of plenty of thought again. 6. Battle Abbey was close-up at Moruya last time out when finishing fifth, and he ran second at Queanbeyan before that. He can be thereabouts again on his current form. 8. Lysander has been racing well with placings at Canberra and Moruya at his latest two starts. 10. Ms Reeves has been placed in her latest two starts and can figure in the minor money again.
How to play it: The Artefact WIN.

Best Bets: Race 4 (4) Imastatement.
Race 7 (7) Jolly Good Fellow.
Best Value: Race 3 (12) Revenue Raiser.
