Selections based on a good track
Race 1
2. Lady Lucifer boasts a handy record with five wins from 13 starts. She did the job well to score last time out at Doomben when leading and holding on for a narrow victory. She can take up a prominent position, and this looks made to order for her. 7. Hellcibell had been racing well with two straight second placings at Scone before failing at Tamworth when last produced. She can improve here. 4. Just In Time is a city winner that resumed with a last placing in Midway grade at Rosehill and should be improved by that run. 5. Ocean Alps is talented at best and can show up without surprising.

Race 2
2. Comic Culture resumed from a spell with an Acton track win at Canberra and backed that up with a second at the same track before having a trial to be kept up to the mark for this. He’s drawn the rails alley and should get every chance. 4. Herald Angel has been placed in both runs since resuming from a spell and gets a chance to be prominent again. 5. Almost Maybe hit the line well when a last start placing at this track and warrants respect, while 7. Satin And Cash wasn’t far away when fourth at this track last time out.
How to play it: Comic Culture to win.
Race 3
8. Hey Daisy won in good style at the Gold Coast two starts ago and followed that up with a second at Doomben. She won her only start over this distance at this track and should play a prominent role. 5. Dance Gavin Dance hit the line well for a last start Casino win and should be thereabouts again. 1. Debussy wasn’t far away when a last start sixth at Taree, while 15. Manpower resumed with a third at Toowoomba and has claims.
How to play it: Hey Daisy to win.
Race 4
8. Royal Exile is a promising two-year-old that won well on debut at Taree before a second at Wyong. He was midfield in the Inglis Millennium in his only other start and resumes after a Taree trial win. 2. Airborne Affair won on debut at Rockhampton and won a Deagon trial with ease to be kept up to the mark for this. 10. Triple Seven is on debut and won his most recent trial at Hawkesbury. 9. Slippin’ Away led throughout to score at this track last time and warrants respect.
How to play it: Royal Exile to win.
Race 5
4. Stakeholder has had one start and that resulted in a second at Nowra. He resumes for a new stable and has had two trials in preparation for what should be a bold showing. 5. By The Way was placed on debut at the Gold Coast and was unplaced at Eagle Farm. 7. Fiery Lass resumes and won a recent Sunshine Coast trial leading into this and is set to run well. 9. Jennibelle finished third in each of her latest two starts at this track in March and should get every chance from the inside.
How to play it: Stakeholder to win.
Race 6
4. Night Fighter is first-up from a spell and was racing well last campaign which finished off with a close second at Tamworth in a good grade race. He is set to sprint well fresh here. 16. Tartaglia won in good style at Gosford last week and can go on with the job. 8. House Of Cards is a last start Coffs Harbour winner and not without a chance, while 10. Show ’Em Howl should be hitting the line well.
How to play it: Night Fighter each way.
Race 7
11. King Pedro is a talented staying prospect that was unlucky when a close second at Rosehill two starts ago before atoning for that defeat when scoring a strong last start victory at the same track. He’s down in the weights and should be strong to the line. 3. Etna Rosso ran well when a last start third in group 3 grade in Brisbane and has claims, while 5. So You Are has been racing well and must be considered. 2. Pounding beat Etna Rosso home last time and warrants thought.
How to play it: King Pedro to win.
Race 8
6. Mister Bianco has a good record with six wins and five placings from 20 starts and resumes from a spell on the back of two barrier trials. He was unplaced in his last four starts before the break but wasn’t beaten far in any and looks poised to sprint well fresh. 3. Emperor has a good winning strike rate and has tackled tougher races in his last two starts since a close second at Eagle Farm. 7. Durova won a couple on end at Muswellbrook in March and is fresh after a down the track Scone effort in May. 9. Tectonic Plate ran well when a last start second at this track.
How to play it: Mister Bianco to win.
