“The three accused were at the shopping centre when they allegedly became involved in a physical altercation with another group of youths,” she said.
“During the altercation, the 18-year-old accused allegedly drew a knife in an intimidating manner.
“The 14-year-old accused allegedly swung a scooter at members of the other group.”
A South Fremantle man, 18, and a Beeliar boy, 14, have been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear and disorderly behaviour in a public place.
A Beeliar girl, 16, has also been charged with disorderly behaviour in a public place.
The incident comes less than a week after the same shopping centre was forced into lockdown after a man allegedly declared he had a gun, and jumped onto the counter of a bubble tea store.
The weapon was actually two coffee machine scoops, and the man was tackled down from the counter by a passing shopper and then detained by security guards.
A 35-year-old man is facing several charges in relation to that incident.
Meanwhile, in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs, a man has been charged over an incident where he allegedly spat on a stranger’s back as the victim walked through Kmart in Galleria with his wife and young daughter on Sunday.
The accused man, 37, then allegedly covered his face with a balaclava, brandished a screwdriver and told the victim to stop following him.
He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday and was refused bail.
