A teenager has died after crashing an e-bike on the Gold Coast, days after a young boy died in an e-bike collision on the Sunshine Coast.
Paramedics were called to reports that a teenager had fallen from an e-bike on Broadbeach Boulevard in Broadbeach just after 3am.
Police say officers provided CPR to the teen who suffered significant head injuries.
They were taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition but could not be saved.
It marks the second fatal e-bike incident involving a young person in south-east Queensland this week.

On Thursday, an eight-year-old boy died after crashing head on with a 15-year-old boy, both riding e-bikes along a bike path near the Kawana Way and Sunshine Motorway interchange at Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast.
The eight-year-old boy from Mountain Creek was rushed to nearby Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition but died from his injuries.
The 15-year-old boy was not seriously injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Chief Inspector Jason Overland said the forensic crash investigation will examine the e-bikes involved and how fast they were travelling.
“The investigation will determine what they were and that does involve an investigation of how much power they produce,” Overland said.
Early investigations indicated both riders were wearing helmets.
To be used in public, an e-bike must be predominantly pedal-powered, with a small electric motor providing assistance only, up to 250 watts, and the motor must cut out at 25km/h.
A parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety and use in Queensland is currently under way, with increasing crashes, injuries and fatalities associated with e-mobility use to be investigated.
