Search resumes for missing snorkeller off Perth’s north coast

A major search is continuing off Perth’s north coast for a snorkeller who failed to return from the water on Thursday afternoon.

At about 3pm on Thursday afternoon, police were notified that two snorkellers went swimming at Ledge Point, but only one made it back.
The missing man, aged 32, has not yet been found, with searches taking place along the beachfront and nearby coastline.

Police divers and marine rescue boats are assisting the search efforts, as well as jet skis, helicopters and local boats.
Ledge Point, about an hour north of Perth, is a popular holiday destination, with a small permanent population of about 230 people.
Police have asked anyone who may have information to contact authorities.
