Selections based on a good track.
Race 1
6. Under Wraps is a first-starter by Astern that was sent to the races recently only to be a scratching at the barriers. He won a trial in good style before that and is a member of the Danny Beasley stable. Expect him to be in a prominent position and take plenty of beating. 5. Rum Jungle has had six starts and been placed in four of them. He comes into this off a last-start third at Queanbeyan, and although well beaten in that, can get into the minor money again. 2. Bounding Bon was resuming from a spell when fourth at Wellington last time out and a forward showing here wouldn’t surprise. 1. Burnt To A Crisp is on debut after two good trials and a bold showing is on the cards.
How to play it: Under Wraps to win.

Race 2
4. Hold This is from the strong Donna Scott stable and has only had the two starts for two solid seconds at Albury. He hit the line well last time out when beaten by Raiderlicious and looks to have found the race to break his maiden. 5. Hot Toddy ran into a place last start at this track, and has five placings from 16 starts. 7. Calpastatin resumed from a spell with a third at this track when last produced and can get into the minor money again. 10. Undercut had two starts, at Sale and Geelong, earlier in the year and resumes here after a recent jump-out and trial.
How to play it: Hold This to win.
Race 3
2. Deflector has been racing well with five placings to her name from just the seven starts. She was placed in four in a row before being spelled and then resumed with a second at this track when she led them up. She should be better for that run. 4. Grinzinger Nyx has been unplaced in three runs in Victoria and resumes on the back of a fourth in a trial. 7. Rain Queen is unplaced in four starts, but has run fourth in two of them and warrants place thought. 3. Divine Spark resumed from a long break with a fourth at the Sapphire Coast and is far from the worst.
How to play it: Deflector to win.
Race 4
1. Check Side has a poor winning record, with just the one success from 19 starts, but he did run well when second at Albury two starts ago. He followed that up with a midfield effort at the same track, and he can figure prominently here if the breaks go his way. 2. Pride Of Jezza broke his maiden at this track three starts ago and then ran second on the Riverside track before resuming with a last-start third, also at this track. Expect another forward showing. 4. Demi God did the job well when accounting for Deflector by a big margin here last time out and warrants plenty of thought. 10. Super Nic has run second at this track in two of his past three starts.
How to play it: Check Side each way.
Race 5
3. Hellberg had been close in a number of runs, including a third at Cootamundra three starts ago, before following a fifth at Echuca with an impressive last-start win at Corowa when he raced on the speed and came away for a strong win. He can win again with a repeat of that performance. 6. Freddy’s Shock wasn’t beaten far when third at this track when last produced, while 4. Tycoon Artie has been midfield in his most recent starts. 1. Black Adam is capable of improving on recent runs.
How to play it: Hellberg to win.
Race 6
2. Kermandie River was midfield on debut at this track before scoring successive wins here in September last year when leading in both. He resumes after a solid Albury trial. 3. Irish Jig won in good style at Kembla Grange when first up from a spell and can go on with the job. 4. Heavenly Kiss was a winner when resuming on the Riverside track here before a last-start third at Albury. 10. Durham Legacy was not far away at Ballart last time out and has claims.
How to play it: Kermandie River each way.

Race 7
10. Serenading is a well-bred filly that made her debut with a win at this track in July and then resumed from a spell with an impressive victory at Albury last month. She’s drawn gate one here and can go on with the job. 4. Reasonable Point ran second to Teylu and Gundagai when last produced and has claims, while 1. Teylu should be prominent based on his latest win. 2. Party Doll has not been far away of late and has place claims.
How to play it: Serenading to win.
