Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

5. Brutal Belle has been racing well with two recent seconds, at this track and then at Wagga. She looks suited by the small field here and has the advantage of barrier one. 1. Brannum finished second at Nowra and then this track either side of a spell. His form has slipped in his past two starts, but he can be expected to improve in this line-up. 4. Run Raymond Run was placed on the Acton track at Canberra when resuming from a spell and is capable of going on with the job now, while 3. Delago Serg has finished third in each of his past three starts, including two at this track, and is among the chances again.
How to play it: Brutal Belle to win.

Race 2

1. Blanc De Noir is a well-above-average mare that had five starts when in the care of Michael Freedman and was placed in each of them. She resumes here on the back of two trials for new trainer Mitchell Beer and won the latest of them at Kembla Grange. She should be winning this. 2. Noble Ruby is first up from a spell and has been placed in five of 10 starts. 5. Glenn’s Legacy ran second on debut at Wagga and resumes here, while 7. Remy’s Bro made his debut here after a third in a trial at this track.
How to play it: Blanc De Noir to win.

Race 3

1. Captain Nay is a talented galloper with a good record and was a winner at Queanbeyan before being spelled. He resumed with a second at Wagga and is set to continue his consistent form. 2. Abstruse ran sixth in the same event Captain Nay contested last time out and warrants thought. 6. Manwari was not far away at Goulburn at his last start and should be thereabouts, while 3. Vereeva has finished fourth in two starts since winning here.
How to play it: Captain Nay to win.

Race 4

2. Write Your Own has had three starts since joining the new stable and followed a second at Goulburn two starts ago with a fourth at Nowra when last produced. This isn’t overly hard, and he get back into winning form. 1. Geemes is a former Ciaron Maher-trained galloper on debut for a new stable here after a Kembla Grange trial and bears close watching. 4. Caravanserai failed at Nowra after a win at Bathurst, but can lift in this line-up, while 7. Kool Bird has solid place claims.
How to play it: Write Your Own to win.

Race 5

1. Dooralong made his debut with a fourth at Nowra when beaten just over a length. He’s drawn wide here but only needs to repeat that effort to be difficult to hold out. 5. Lady Yarrow has finished second at the Sapphire Coast and Wagga at her past two starts and looms as the hardest to beat on that form. 6. Ridotta ran a last-start third at Nowra and has the talent to get into the money again, while 9. Choceclair resumed with a last at Kembla Grange, but may find this easier.
How to play it: Dooralong each way.

Race 6

3. Jackpot Star is yet to miss a place from five starts, including two wins, the latest being a last-start win at Nowra. He should take plenty of running down in this. 7. Alottosay won well at Nowra and this track either side of a spell and wasn’t beaten far when a last-start third at the Sapphire Coast. 10. Loch Erin has ability on her day and can run a bold race. 1. Fourcade has a good record at this track and will find this easier than a last-start Canterbury effort.
How to play it: Jackpot Star to win.

Race 7

8. Dupli Kate is a talented mare that won three in a row at the end of her last campaign, including two in good grade at Wagga. She resumed with a solid-finishing third at Warwick Farm and this looks ideal. 3. Bon Frankie followed a second on the Acton track at Canberra with a close-up fourth on the course proper. 4. Epaullo Creed is a bold frontrunner that can give plenty of cheek, while 1. Marsabit comes into this after a Warwick Farm placing over a middle-distance trip.
How to play it: Dupli Kate to win.

Race 8

11. Autumn Heir followed a string of fourth placings with a last at Newcastle when not beaten too far. He ran home well when a last-start second at Canberra and looks primed to run well again here. 12. Tantalum also hit the line well when she ran second at Canberra when last produced and only needs to repeat that effort to figure prominently. 1. Arancione wasn’t beaten too far when a last-start fourth at Queanbeyan and has claims, while 6. It Is To Be was placed in a couple of Goulburn runs before failing to figure at Nowra at his latest start.
How to play it: Autumn Heir to win.
