Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

9. Spice Trail is a filly on debut that has won two of her three trials. She has been saved for this after being scratched from a recent engagement and has drawn to advantage here in barrier two. She gets the perfect opportunity to score a win here. 10. Ti Amo is also on debut and won her latest trial at Warwick Farm. She looks to have the talent to be a major player against these. 8. Mystical finished second in her first two starts at this track and then at Wyong and finished 10th in the Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast in January before being spelled. She wasn’t far away in a Canterbury trial leading into this. 4. Found The Gold is having her first start here and wasn’t far away in the sane trial Mystical contested at Canterbury when last produced.

How to play it: Spice Trail WIN.

Race 2

2. Reign ’Em In looked good winning a trial at Scone and then finished second in a Beaumont trial at Newcastle before making her debut at Wyong with a second after racing on the speed. She looks to have the talent to run well in this. 3. Artemex ran eighth on debut at Rosehill in the Golden Gift and has had two trials and finished second in each of them at Kembla Grange and Warwick Farm. He looks poised to run well first-up from a spell in this. 9. The Way Ahead has a solid record with seven placings from 12 starts and a placing is likely again. 1. Monocru ran second at Kembla Grange at her second start in a race and resumes from a spell here. She’s a recent trial winner.

How to play it: Reign ’Em in WIN.

Race 3

1. World Wide has only had two starts and ran third in city grade at big odds on debut before a second at this track as favourite. He’s drawn the rails alley here and from the good draw and the extra distance he should be able to break through. 2. Clanwilliam ran well in his first two starts last October and then ran a solid fourth at Rosehill behind Long Legs at the end of that month before being spelled. He resumes here and bears close watching. 3. Jonson hit the line well when a last start second at Gosford and should be prominent on the strength of that effort. 8. Riga failed at Hawkesbury when last produced and needs to improve to figure here.

How to play it: World Wide WIN.

Race 4

11. Chatterley got to the line well when a last stat second at Wyong. She looks to have come back in good order and only needs to run up to that to be rated the one to beat. 5. Jump Around debuted with a third in the same race that Chatterley contested last time out and has claims again. 9. Star Half was a last start third at Gosford and bears close watching again. 8. Samaka ran second at Canberra as favourite on debut and can give a good sight in this.

How to play it: Chatterley WIN.

Race 5

6. Via Flaminia is lightly raced with two wins and a second placing from six starts. Both her wins are at this track, and she should appreciate the step-up in trip after a last start seventh at this track over 1600m. 7. Chilly Charlie has finished third in all three starts since resuming and can be placed again. 9. Keep At ’Em has a handy record and can be prominent, while 2. Allapercanto beat home Via Flaminia last time out and should figure again.

How to play it: Via Flaminia WIN.

Race 6

9. Concorde Jet is a former Kiwi that won on debut in New Zealand in February and then came to Australia. She’s had two trials since arriving here for a fifth at Rosehill and a win at Warwick Farm. A bold showing is on the cards in this. 8. Call Me Sassy resumed from a spell at Gosford and wasn’t far away when finishing second behind Pimlico. This looks within her reach. 5. Borjnord ran second here on debut before scoring a strong Albury Super Maiden win and this is a nice race for him. 11. Master Yoda was a debut winner at Goulburn before running fourth at Wyong earlier this month when not beaten far. He can give cheek.

How to play it: Concorde Jet EACH WAY.

Race 7

9. Change My Address was close-up in a Midway at Randwick before finishing second at Kembla Grange. She was midfield at Wyong last time out and only has to maintain her latest form to be hard to hold out in this. 5. Solitario was a winner at Muswellbrook before finishing fourth at this track and bears close watching while in this sort of form. 3. New Pharoah was a last start Albury winner that should be hard to beat again with a repeat of that. 2. Southern Prince won two on end at Kembla Grange last October and November and was spelled after running a creditable fifth in the Spring Champion Stakes. He’s had two trials in preparation for this.

How to play it: Change My Address WIN.

Best Bets: Race 3 (1) World Wide.

Race 4 (11) Chatterley.

Best Value: Race 6 (9) Concorde Jet.
