Track Soft 6 and rail True.

RACE 1

3. Good’n’you is a three-year-old by Graff from the Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou stable on debut behind a strong latest metropolitan trial, and bred to handle soft going. Looks to have plenty of ability in what looms as a competitive and potentially deep maiden, and gets first use of the inside. Was scratched from the Kensington meeting on Wednesday to be saved for this. The market will prove a real indicator with 5. California Command who returns for her first run since early spring off two easy trials. 8. Fly The Wind made up a stack of late ground on debut in the country, and fitter now can settle a bit closer in the run against a naturally slicker field. 7. Willingham is another city improver who comes through that same race as the former where he stuck on OK from the wide barrier. 1. Bollente Boy is by Too Darn Hot, and makes his debut for the John O’Shea and Tom Charlton yard behind three trials.

RACE 2

4. Impuriteze is lightly raced, and well-placed to break through second-up. Was beaten under a length resuming at Gosford when had support in the market, and the extra trip here is a big plus. Watch the betting closely on 7. Asilah, a filly by boom sire Wootton Bassett in the Chris Waller camp, which debuts from a wider gate with gear additions off two steady trials, and was preferred here to Wednesday’s Kensington meeting. 5. Mind Ya Bizz draws is an improver who drew the outside barrier, but can run into the minor money third-up, while 15. Mark Of Glory is a second-start improver, and goes in trifecta and first four plays.

RACE 3

7. Oakfield Mars in an honest provincial mare who can break through at good odds deep into the current campaign. Came off two average efforts to hit the line hard back in country company, and has a real race fitness edge over some of her more fancied rivals. Bred to handle soft ground. 2. Embrace The Wind will likely jump clear favourite after doing his best work late at big odds in a deeper Randwick maiden on debut. Drawn to get cover again back in the field, and blinkers go on. 3. Tendi drew the inside fourth-up with weight relief back in provincial company. 1. Aeternum is right in the hunt second-up off a six-week let-up after an even effort at Gosford. Keep safe too 5. Kingdom Heart who hasn’t raced since an ordinary winter debut on the course proper here, but has shown enough in two improoving trials.

RACE 4

3. Iron Fury is a tough and hard-fit home tracker ideally placed to claim an overdue second win deep into the prep. Has found the line well to beat all bar the winner in his last two at Gosford, including finishing just over a length from Be Quiet who ran a record time, and then was beaten narrowly into a place in a tougher race at last Saturday’s stand-alone Wyong meeting. From a soft trailing draw, that forms reads big for this back at home, and while he’s untried in soft going, is bred to thrive. 4. Steel Knight is a big market watch resuming for a leading city stable behind two progressive trials. The betting will also be a significant guide aboard 6. Ferinzo, a lightly raced four-year-old returning off a 78-week spell for the new Gosford stable. Bolted in a provincial trial just before Christmas, and can come to hand sharply. 9. Gem Tycoon, who won a country maiden on debut for the Bjorn Baker yard, and 11. Bianca Mia back from provincial BM 64 level, are both capable of figuring in the money in a race of solid depth.

RACE 5

11. Heroic Deed is an emerging local who finished best to win here on debut in soft ground. Went past a $1.45 shot over the final furlong that day, and ran a much quicker final 600m than the winners of two other 1150m races. Again from the Nathan Doyle stable, he steps up 100m in trip a month between runs, and has enough tactical speed to find a position from the wide barrier. Big watch on 2. Herman Said from the Kris Lees stable who is right up to winning this fourth-up, with blinkers being added. Stablemate 1. Etoile Filante has run home well into a place in his last couple, including right behind the former at Taree 13 days ago. The third of those stablemates, 3. Oakfield Pluto, resumes for a second prep off two improving trials. 4. Rose Of Dubai draws the fence off a let-up, and can add value into exotic plays. Gap to the rest headed by 14. Sneaky Choice resuming off two soft trials.

RACE 6

5. Powerhouse is a lightly raced and talented colt resuming for the Peter Snowden stable. Came off a convincing Super Maiden win on the course proper in heavy ground late August to tackle Group 3 company where he finished midfield. Has the credentials fresh against this lot from a handy draw, and the more rain the better placed he is. 4. Beechworth is sparingly raced, and given four weeks since an honest closing effort in stronger BM 64 company at Canterbury. 2. Justice Warrior dug in hard to claim a handy CL1 third-up at Wyong, and looks fairly placed again after the jockey’s 3kg claim in a race that isn’t much tougher. 1. Danish Prince drops in grade third-up, with a key gear change.

RACE 7

6. Siebert is an exciting filly from the Gai Waterhouse-Adrian Bott stable shooting for a third successive win in her first full prep. Went home best to claim the maiden at this track a month ago before even more impressive beating a similar field at Gosford, and the second horse from that race scored a tough win at Muswellbrook on Tuesday. Bred to relish rain-affected ground, and further boosted with one of the early market rivals racing at Wednesday’s metro meeting. 2. Can’t Touch This is over the odds 26 days after a tough front-running effort in deeper grade at Wyong. 1. Miss Busslinger is trained here, and drawn to get the right run just off the speed fourth-up. 5. November Air steps up from a first-up win in weaker class at Canberra.
