It might be a long way from the heights of Group 1 carnival success, but NSW’s leading stable is set to unleash a two-prong attack in what shapes as an influential maiden at Thursday’s Wyong meeting.
The Chris Waller stable, gearing up for another big assault on Randwick this Saturday, produces two promising fillies in a Super Maiden Plate at set weights over 1100m.

And one of them, a new arrival in the yard, is the most intriguing runner across the eight-race program, likely to be run on soft ground, with persistent showers in the lead-up.
Sword Of Legacy, a striking three-year-old daughter of prolific sprint sire Too Darn Hot, hasn’t started since a one-off failure at Sandown in late July as a two-year-old when based in the Dominic Sutton camp.
Prior to that, though, in a three-start preparation through summer, Sword Of Legacy had shown connections and punters plenty.
She ran a tidy second to the smart Cavalry Girl on debut at Flemington before missing by a nose in the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes at Sandown. Two weeks later at Listed level she finished four lengths from talented Tentyris who soon after won the Group 2 Todman at Randwick, and only 12 days ago scored a barnstorming second-up Listed win at Caulfield coming from a mile back.
That form augurs well for Sword Of Legacy who opened on the second line of betting about $3.60, despite drawing the outside gate in a field of eight.
And ahead of her in the early market was exciting stablemate filly Artgirl, a daughter of Group 1 winner Flying Artie.
Artgirl makes her long-awaited debut behind two spaced trials, easily winning the latest over 900m.

She opened $3.10 favourite in what promises to be one of the most robust betting races on the card.
Away from the Waller pair, Confidentiality is out to go one better for the Joe Pride stable after boxing on okay into a place on debut at Hawkesbury behind the exciting Triple Play.
By fashionable sprint sire Shalaa, Confidentiality is again drawn to park on speed over 100m further, and was about $5.00 in early trade.
Well in the market too is Precious Girl ($5.00), a locally-trained filly by Casino Prince reloading 12 days after missing by a head first-up in a Saturday Super Maiden at Newcastle.
