Melbourne defender Steven May was not at training on Wednesday, casting doubt over his short-term playing future.
The Demons list hit the track at Gosch’s Paddock after their mandated post-Christmas four-day break, but May was absent.

It comes after News Corp reported last Friday that May was visited by police at his house on Thursday.
Melbourne were contacted for comment.

May, in the final season of his contract, was told by the Demons to look for another club during last year’s trade period but did not find a new home.
The veteran was an integral part of the Demons’ drought-busting flag in 2021, but his form dropped off markedly late last year.
