Man taken into custody after gun shots reported near Noosa

A man has been taken into custody after gun shots were reported near Noosa, north of Brisbane.

The shots were reported on McKinnon Drive in Cooroibah about 10am.

Police cordoned off the area as a precaution, and a man was taken into custody about 2.30pm.

Locals reported seeing a police helicopter in the area.

Paramedics were at the scene, but police said no one was injured in the incident.

The man is now assisting police.
