A man is fighting for his life and two others have been rushed to hospital following a horrific crash on Reid Highway in Perth’s north on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash involved a FedEx truck and two cars.
9News Perth helicopter vision from the scene indicates one of the vehicles involved may have veered through the bushland median strip into the path of oncoming traffic.
A WA Police spokesman confirmed the incident occurred around 12.55pm on Reid Highway near Alexander Drive in Dianella.
“Emergency services including St John WA and Department of Fire and Emergency Services are currently at the scene,” he said.
“One person has sustained critical injuries.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and to seek alternative routes.”
St John Ambulance sent five crews to the scene with two men, aged in their 50s and 20s, rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.
A female child was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital at normal road speed.
Another man remains at the scene, suffering critical injuries.
Reid Highway westbound between Malaga Drive and Alexander Drive in Dianella is closed.
Emergency services remain onsite, and Main Roads is advising motorists to avoid the heavily congested area.
