Harry Styles announces first new album in four years

In this world, it’s just him: Harry Styles has announced that his long-awaited fourth studio album will arrive this autumn.

Titled Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally and out on March 6, the album is Styles’ first full-length project in four years. It follows 2022’s critically acclaimed synth pop record Harry’s House, which earned the former One Direction star the top prize of album of the year at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

In a review, this masthead described Harry’s House as “an album of freewheeling effortlessness, of sensuality and confidence, of pop and R&B”, and noted how the artist’s talents match his charm.

On Instagram, Styles’ shared the cover artwork for Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which features the 31-year-old artist in a T-shirt and jeans at night, standing underneath a shimmering disco ball hung outside.

According to a press release, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally will contain 12 tracks and is executive produced by Kid Harpoon. The British songwriter and producer has been a close collaborator with Styles since the beginning of the singer’s solo career, working on all his albums since his 2017 self-titled debut.

It also marks Styles’ first project since his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne died in 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. At the time, Styles said in a statement that Payne’s “greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it”.

One Direction formed on The X Factor in 2010 and performed together until 2016.

The album announcement followed a cryptic teaser campaign in which Styles cheekily hinted at the upcoming project through billboards around the world promising “we belong together” and “see you very soon”. These phrases overlaid a photo of a stadium filled with fans during Styles’ 2022-2023 world tour.

The teaser billboards sent fans spiralling online, with many posting their theories on Reddit forums dedicated to Styles.

Since releasing Harry’s House, Styles has been spotted undertaking various activities, including marathon running. Last year, he was seen participating in both the Tokyo and Berlin marathons, clocking in at just under three hours in the latter race.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new Harry Styles album for four years.

In May, he was also somewhat mysteriously spotted at St Peter’s Square in Vatican City for the announcement of the new pope, Leo XIV, wearing a cap emblazoned with the words “techno is my boyfriend”.

Elsewhere, the As It Was singer has made headlines for his rumoured relationship with actress and director Zoë Kravitz, as well as for his lifestyle brand, Pleasing, which has launched everything from apparel, accessories and beauty products to lube and sex toys.

Styles also enjoyed a foray into acting shortly after releasing Harry’s House, starring in both My Policeman and Don’t Worry Darling in 2022.
