Port Macquarie-based trainer Paul Snowden will make the trip north to Coffs Harbour on Thursday where he has three leading chances engaged to run.

Snowden has high hopes of success when he saddles up Good Karma in the Steve Dignam Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1412m), Tartaglia in the Amanda Foley Class 3 Handicap, and Cash And Cards in the Ken Alderman Class 1 Handicap (1312m).

“I’ve got three nice chances that will be going to the races at Coffs Harbour,” Snowden said.

“Good Karma has only had the one start since joining my stable and she followed a Taree trial win with a fifth at Newcastle.

“She’ll be better with that run under her belt, and I expect her to run a bold race.”

Luke Rolls with ride Good Karma, and he will link again with Snowden when riding Tartaglia in its event.

“Tartaglia is a nice horse by Too Darn Hot,” Snowden said.

“He’s a former Godolphin horse that was purchased by Australian Bloodstock and I was lucky enough for them to give him to me to train.

“He’s a Warwick Farm winner and a city placegetter so he’s always shown plenty of ability.

“He hasn’t raced since April but he’s ready to go, and it’s a nice race for him to kick off in for me.”

Jockey Ben Looker will partner Cash And Cards in its event, with the galloper having had three starts since joining the stable.

“He ran fifth at Port Macquarie at his first start for me, and then ran fifth again at Taree,” said Snowden.

“He wasn’t too far away at Grafton the other day even though he ran ninth.

“He definitely has the ability to make an impact on Thursday.”

Newcastle trainer Nathan Doyle will have a couple of interesting runners at Coffs Harbour with first starters Cool Waters and Cool Summer Nights contesting the Sharen Philp Maiden Plate (1010m) and Craig Harvey Maiden Handicap (1212m) respectively with Looker on each of them.

Both fillies have performed well in their lead-up trials, with Doyle also having Tapagal (Andrew Gibbons) lining up in Cool Summer Night’s race.
