Australians continue to grapple with soaring fuel prices into the Easter holiday period, with the conflict in the Middle East wreaking havoc on global oil markets.

Motorists are feeling that pain at the petrol pump, despite the federal government’s decision to halve the fuel excise and shave 26.3 cents off every litre of fuel. That saving will now be up to 32 cents, thanks to a deal on GST struck by the states on Thursday.

We have created this fuel price calculator that updates daily with the latest available data.

It covers Australia’s major metropolitan areas, and can be calibrated to show the price of E10, Unleaded 91 and Diesel. It also gives an indicative price for different vehicle types and tank sizes, providing you with a daily snapshot of how much it might set you back to fill up on your next trip to the servo.

This calculator is not intended to provide an exact amount; it’s based on citywide averages and doesn’t track the individual service stations in your area. For that information, and for prices on other fuel types such as P95 and P98, please consult the sources below.
