Morocco needs a huge half to go past Brazil
By Roy Ward
Brazil is on track to win Group C as they lead Scotland 2-0 and Morocco are tied with Haiti 2-2.
But because Brazil and Morocco drew their group game, either side can win the group.
Morocco trail Brazil on goal difference so they will not only need to beat Haiti, they will need to run up the score as Brazil is +5 on goal difference and Morocco is +1.
So Morocco will need Brazil to remain 2-0 ahead while winning this match 6-2 without giving up any yellow cards - that should put them through on team conduct score.
That would be some story - I reckon Brazil will go through on top.
Both matches are resuming.

Morocco are dominating time spent with the ball and the number of shot attempts they have. Those are some impressive goalkeeping stats for Haiti’s keeper, Placide.
Half-time stats in Brazil v Scotland

It’s not a bad share of possession for Scotland as we pause for half-time, but they’re missing out on any shots on goal. Take a look at the numbers:
Vini Jnr gets his second goal and this time it’s allowed
By Frances Howe
Vini Jnr has scored for the third time and this goal will be allowed, giving him his second of the match and third of the tournament – putting him in equal fourth place for the golden boot.
It comes from the combination of a brilliant cross from Bruno Guimaraes and a perfectly timed run from Vini Jnr who gets to the end of the cross with his head and gets the ball into the net.
There will be six minutes of additional time in this half.
Brazil 2-0 Scotland, 45+3 minutes
Goal: Three goals in a matter of minutes
By Roy Ward
Morocco scored, Haiti scored and now Morocco has scored again with half-time fast approaching.
Ismael Saibari has powered home a low strike after a lovely low cross from Hakimi on the right side.
Saibari has become the first African player to score in all three group games.
Morocco 2-2 Haiti, 45 minutes
Goal: Haiti with a stunning goal
By Roy Ward
Haiti fans are in tears, Morocco fans look stunned and the men in blue are celebrating after a stunning strike from Wilson Isidor who has powered a shot into the top corner from outside the box.
That goal came out of nowhere and just minutes after Hakimi’s equaliser.
This match has lit up in Atlanta.
Haiti 2-1 Morocco, 44 minutes
Goal: Hakimi brings Morocco level
By Roy Ward
Moroccan captain Ashraf Hakimi has brought his nation level with Haiti at 1-1 on 39 minutes.
It is his first goal in 13 World Cup appearances and keeps their hopes of winning the group alive.
He only got the end of his boot on the ball, but it was enough to knock it over the line.
Morocco 1-1 Haiti, 40 minutes
Inspired work from Placide; Goal scorer changed
By Roy Ward
Haitian keeper Johny Placide has pulled out two quality saves to deny Morocco an equaliser.
The veteran custodian is in his last game for his nation and he saved a one-on-one attempt from Ashraf and then a follow-up shot from Ayoub El Kaabi.
In the meantime, the opening goal has been taken from Lenny Joseph and made an own goal from Yassine Bounou of Morocco.
Haiti 1-0 Morocco, 33 minutes.
Vini Jnr’s second goal disallowed
By Frances Howe
Brazil have for the second time stolen the ball off a Scottish centre back and scored as a result. This time, Vini Jnr goes solo taking the ball off Jack Hendry.
But his celebrations are cut short as the VAR officials have indicated that Vini Jnr may have fouled Hendry in the process. The referee leaves the pitch to watch the replay and when he returns, the goal is disallowed and a free-kick awarded to Scotland.
That’s a very lucky call for Scotland and some detailed officiating from the VAR team.
We’ll pause for the hydration break. Scotland will need a big team talk to turn this around.
