The relatives of Diane Keaton, the beloved actor who died on Saturday at the age of 79, have revealed her cause of death.
In a statement released to celebrity magazine People, the Oscar winner’s family confirmed she died of pneumonia, and gave thanks for the global outpouring of affection in the days since.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11,” the statement issued to the magazine said.
