Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has appeared to reference his feud with parents David and Victoria Beckham in a video ad for a food delivery platform posted to Instagram as tensions within the clan continue to bubble.

In the ad posted on Tuesday morning (AEST) for the food delivery company DoorDash, a smiling Peltz Beckham is seen sitting on a grey couch holding tickets for the World Cup, and says: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It’s a long story,” before placing the tickets onto a coffee table.

What’s the latest Beckham blow-up?

The ad comes days after Peltz Beckham, 27, accused his family of a “choreographed” stunt, in which his younger sister Harper was photographed arriving at his LA mansion and delivering a letter – just hours after their father Sir David Beckham received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Peltz Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham were notably absent from the ceremony last Friday (LA time); however the other children, and their mother Victoria, were all present.

In an interview with Variety published on Friday ahead of the Walk of Fame ceremony, Beckham was asked about the “extra vicious” tabloid media attention on the family whether the coverage had taken a toll.

“To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about,” Beckham said.

After the ceremony, New York Post photographers captured 14-year-old Harper stepping out of an SUV attempting to access the residence and then, after receiving no answer, sliding a note beneath the door.

Brooklyn later posted a picture of himself out for a jog in New York on his Instagram story, seemingly showing he was not in the city at the time.

When the masthead’s Page Six gossip column went to Brooklyn for comment over the incident, a representative said: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras.”

The spat continued to play out over the next few days, with a Beckham family spokesperson telling The Sun on Sunday (UK time) the allegation was “clearly nonsense”.

When did this feud begin?

Following several years of speculation there was a family rift, Brooklyn in January posted a long statement to Instagram directly addressing his relationship with his parents following his wedding to Nicola Peltz Beckham.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn told his 16.1 million followers on Tuesday morning. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

The eldest son of the English football legend and the former Spice Girl accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with Nicola before, during and after their 2022 wedding.

“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” Brooklyn wrote. He said he had “made every effort to keep these matters private” but claimed his parents and their team had “continued to go to the press” about the matter.

In his statement, Brooklyn accused Victoria of trying to derail his wedding, including cancelling Nicola’s wedding dress plans “despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress”.

He also claimed that when he and Nicola were called for their first dance by DJ Marc Anthony, Victoria intervened. “Instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.”

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

The couple later renewed their vows in an August 2025 ceremony led by Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, to create new memories “that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment”. The Beckhams did not attend.

While Brooklyn’s parents have not addressed the fallout specifically, in January at an appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, days after Brooklyn’s post, David Beckham appeared to obliquely reference the spat in a conversation about social media use.

“Children are allowed to make mistakes, that’s how they learn. So that’s what I try to teach my kids,” he said. “But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”

Then, in an April interview with the Wall Street Journal, Victoria Beckham said she and her husband were simply “trying to do the best we can” as parents.

“Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children,” she said.
