More than four years after Amar Kettule was “virtually assassinated” in his car, two men have been charged for their alleged roles in his murder.
The pair were refused bail after being charged with destroying property in company using fire, allegedly destroying the car used in the 34-year-old Kettule’s murder.
A 23-year-old man is among two charged in relation to Amar Kettule’s 2021 murder.
The True Kings gang member was shot dead in his car on Ware Street, Fairfield, early on January 10, 2021 after being “caught unaware” in what police described as “obviously a well-planned murder”.
Kettule’s younger brother Dyllan, 19, was shot dead in nearby Canley Vale in 2014.
A 22-year-old man arrested at Bossley Park and a 23-year-old man arrested at Austral faced court on Thursday accused of torching a Jeep allegedly used in the 2021 murder, which was found burned out in Smithfield hours after the attack.

The pair were refused bail in Fairfield Local Court and are due to return on November 19.
