Detectives launched an investigation which led them to a home on Susan Street in Auburn later that night.

Police said when they arrived at the Auburn property about 8pm, they found the 42-year-old allegedly being assaulted by a woman, who ran from the scene with two other men.

Following a foot pursuit, police arrested three people – a 44-year-old woman and two men, aged 28 and 33. All three were taken to Burwood Police Station. The woman was later taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers established a crime scene at the Auburn home, where they seized a Mitsubishi SUV that allegedly contained cable ties and a baton. They also established a crime scene at the home in Riverwood.

No charges have been laid early on Monday morning as the investigation continues.
