A perimeter has been established at the entrance to the reserve at Caballo Street, which straddles Rouse Hill High School and Ironbark Public School, where detectives are focusing their investigation.

Attorney-General Michelle Rowland, whose federal electorate of Greenway includes Rouse Hill, said she was “deeply saddened” to learn of the boy’s “tragic” death.

“My thoughts and deepest condolences are with the young boy’s family during this extremely difficult time,” Rowland said in a statement.
