Selections based on a good track.

Race 1

1. Bawnaglen ran second in a Scone trial before resuming with a third at the same track last month behind Chains Of Love. He followed that up with a fifth at Scone when working home in solid fashion when not beaten too far. He looks cherry ripe for this and gets his chance to break through. 12. Yiasou has had two starts since joining a new stable and followed a third at Coonamble with a last-start second at Coonabarabran. He looks talented and should play a part in the finish again. 10. Noterbel has been placed in four of her last five starts and led them up when finishing third at Dubbo when last produced. Another bold showing is on the cards. 4. Billabong Alvin ran fifth in the same race as Noterbel at Dubbo and could be placed in this.

How to play it: Bawnaglen WIN.

Race 2

11. Bullant has only had six starts and has been placed in four of them. She resumed from a spell with a second at Coonamble and then backed that up with a third at Coonabarabran. She looks primed to get into the winners’ circle in this. 12. Don’t Say Do has had two starts either side of a spell and while she’s been unplaced in each of them, she hasn’t been disgraced. This looks to be within her reach. 9. Long Time Lovers has finished second at Mudgee in two of her latest three starts and only needs to maintain that form to be a factor. 5. Unsolved has been down the track in both starts since joining a new stable and is capable of sharp improvement.

How to play it: Bullant WIN.

Race 3

7. Regal Problem showed talent in her first two starts with a second on debut at Hawkesbury and a sixth at Canterbury. She was spelled after that run and had two trials before resuming with an impressive victory at Scone. She has plenty of upside and is set to go on with the job here. 2. Sports Page ran well when a last-start fourth at Coonabarabran and can bob up in this company without surprising. 3. Autumn Song disappointed at Coonabarabran when last produced but ran well at Coonamble before that and is worth another chance. 4. Commando Jack was a Mudgee winner three starts ago and has finished sixth at Narromine and Bathurst in two subsequent runs.

How to play it: Regal Problem WIN.

Race 4

7. Life’s A Party enjoyed a good run behind the speed before hitting the line well for a last-start second at Coonabarabran. She’s drawn to advantage here in barrier one and should get the run of the race and finish off well again. 5. Rouge Moulin finished third in the same race Life’s A Party contested at Coonabarabran and only needs to run up to that to be in the finish again. 10. Smart And Dapper was down the track in the same race but can show improvement here. 2. Stratified also contested the same race at Coonabarabran when running sixth and is not out of this.

How to play it: Life’s A Party EACH WAY.

Race 5

6. Mrs Bull is a consistent mare that is rarely far from the action, and she comes into this on the back of a last-start third at Dubbo. She was a winner at Dubbo four starts ago and should get a good run here from the inside barrier. 9. Shadow Dane backed up a second placing at Muswellbrook with a strong last-start win at Coonabarabran and looms as a leading contender again. 5. Blue Guitar ran home fairly when midfield in the Coonabarabran Cup and can get into the money here without surprising. 1. Tainui has disappointed in his latest two starts but a turnaround in form wouldn’t shock.

How to play it: Mrs Bull WIN.

Race 6

6. Sorrento Palace was a winner at Wellington three starts back and has since followed a seventh at Dubbo with a last-start second at Coonamble. She’s drawn the rails in this and gets her chance to break through with another win. 3. Line Of Law has been racing well with three straight wins. This is a tougher assignment, but another forward showing is on the cards on her current form. 2. Seven Mile Missile was a winner at Coonabarabran in October of last year and was then spelled. He resumed at the same track last month with a midfield effort and strips fitter for this. 7. Turbulent was midfield at Muswellbrook when last produced and has claims on that effort.

How to play it: Sorrento Palace WIN.

Race 7

3. This One Time won a couple on end at Tamworth and Dubbo earlier in the year then ran second and sixth at Tamworth before being spelled. She’s had a trial leading into this and should be primed to sprint well fresh. 4. Brummagen finished second at Narromine when last produced and has the talent to show up in this grade, 7. Emphatic Bel comes out of the same race as Brummagen and can get into the placings. 1. Zouchase is a last-start winner and another bold showing is on the cards.

How to play it: This One Time WIN.

Best Bets: Race 5 (6) Mrs Bull.
Race 7 (3) This One Time.

Best Value: Race 4 (7) Life’s A Party.
