Selections based on a heavy track.

Race 1

7. Performing Diva is a talented mare in the Pat Murphy stable. She’s been scratched a couple of times recently from Forbes on Sunday and Wagga Riverside on Monday. She’s only had two starts for a handy fourth at Nowra on debut before a second at Goulburn when beaten less than a length and then being spelled. She’s drawn well in this event and can return to racing a winner. 4. Azzucca has had two runs back from a spell for a fifth on the Acton track at Canberra and a sixth at this track. She ran second in her first two race starts at Canberra, and if she can repeat those efforts, she can make an impact. 5. Miss Eadie is a first starter by Ready For Victory and finished third at Goulburn in her only trial. 9. Eagerly Awaits is a former Price and Kent galloper that has had one trial since joining the Mitchell Beer stable and is worth including among the main chances.
How to play it: Performing Diva WIN

Race 2

9. Shoreman was safely held when down the track on the Acton at Canberra two starts ago, but showed improvement when a last-start fourth at this track when leading. He’s drawn the inside gate here, and if he can improve on his latest effort, he can take running down. 6. Brutal Belle has been safely held in recent runs but doesn’t strike an overly hard event here. 4. Avalon Lady was fifth of five at Goulburn last time out but can improve on that. 5. Brume De Soleil was midfield in her most recent run and can sneak into the placings.
How to play it: Shoreman WIN

Race 3

3. Lagune Seca is resuming from a spell but has a good fresh record with a win and two placings when first-up. He ran third in a trial leading into this return to racing. 1. A Book Of Days resumed for the new stable with a solid fourth at Goulburn before a safely held last start last at the same track. He is worth another chance. 10. Commandoro ran well when a last start second at this track, while 6. Vereeva ran third here when last produced and is worth thought again.
How to play it: Laguna Seca WIN

Race 4

2. Hellinda won at this track in good style three starts ago and followed that up with two seconds at Narrandera and Corowa. He’s up in weight for this, but has the talent to bounce back to winning form. 5. Blue Bayou ran well when a last start second at this track and only needs to have maintained that form to be hard to hold out again. 4. Gooloo Bucky wasn’t beaten far in the same race as Blue Bayou here when last produced, while 1. Snappy Jim bobs up every now and again.
How to play it: Hellinda WIN

Race 5

2. Brannum was placed at his first two starts earlier in the year. He ran fourth in a trial before resuming with a close-up second at this track, and a repeat of that would have him figuring in the finish. 12. Sawmill has been placed in five of five starts and ran home well at Grafton last time out. 5. Feedback has been placed in both runs since resuming for a new stable, while 3. C’mon Wicksy ran fourth on debut on the Acton track and should have derived benefit from that experience.
How to play it: Brannum WIN

Race 6

2. Epaullo Creed is a handy on-pace galloper that was placed in a couple of starts at this track and Goulburn before going to the lead and fighting on too well to score at the Sapphire Coast when last produced. He has a big weight again, but it is helped by the three-kilogram apprentice allowance, and he can take running down again. 7. Vermicella ran fourth in Highway grade at Randwick before being spelled. She since resumed with a third at Warwick Farm before a last-start second at this track. She has a solid record and should be in the thick of things. 11. Dolzino was midfield in a Rosehill Highway before a last start second at this track. 14. Ulysses Blue finished sixth at this track when last produced and has place claims.
How to play it: Epaullo Creed EACH WAY

Race 7

5. Beauer has been racing well with a solid second at Grafton two starts ago, being followed by a last start third at that track when taken to the front and battling on solidly enough. She’s drawn awkwardly in a wide gate here, but can press forward again and, with any luck, can take beating. 4. Easement raced in a midfield position at this track when last produced and hit the line to score a strong win. He is worth plenty of thought again. 8. Region Time has been just behind the placings on the Acton track at Canberra and then at this track at her last two starts. She could get into the minor money in this. 12. Golden Fairy was a last start second at the Sapphire Coast and is far from the worst here from the good gate.
How to play it: Beauer WIN
