Race 1
2. Golden Century had two trials before resuming with a third at Hawkesbury when doing his best work late. He was placed in the New Zealand Derby last preparation before contesting the Tulloch Stakes and ATC Australian Derby. He strips fitter for his first-up run here and has the advantage of the inside gate. 1. Brut Nature had two barrier trials before making his debut with a third at Newcastle when holding his ground well enough in the straight. 3. Highland Lad has been racing well with two seconds from his past two starts. Another bold showing is on the cards. 7. Zamazing has been placed in each of her past two starts and has the talent to figure in the minor money again.

Race 2
3. Oceanfront ran second at Tamworth three starts ago and has since finished fourth at Kembla Grange and Newcastle. He should be prominent here. 7. Cha Cha Cha ran well when placed at this track at her last start, and she can get into the placings again. 8. Search Warrant has been racing well and is worth including among the main chances. 6. The Cristal has been in great form and warrants respect.
How to play it: Oceanfront to win.
Race 3
3. Fabres has been placed in one of four starts and is fresh for this after a sixth in a Warwick Farm trial on August 22. He can figure in the finish. 5. Transgress is a well-bred colt on debut after a number of trials, and he has been close up in the past two. 11. Listen Sweetheart is first up after two trials, is in a good stable and bears close watching while fresh. 13. You’re The Choice has had two starts back from a spell and has claims here with a repeat of the resuming effort when third at Gosford.
How to play it: Fabres each way.
Race 4
8. Charlecote Mill was not beaten too far when resuming at Kembla Grange despite finishing ninth. She’s been close up in a Canterbury trial since then and should figure prominently here. 11. Rajwa is an I Am Invincible filly on debut after a number of trials, and she can be expected to run well based on those. 12. Reflect ran third at Rosehill two starts ago, then had her chance when unplaced in tougher grade last time. 10. Ole Got Swagger was not far away in her latest trial and can run well on debut.
How to play it: Charlecote Mill each way.
Race 5
9. Whatalegacy has had three trials, including two recent hitouts that he has won. He’s drawn the outside here, but is the one to beat. 1. Ima Capri resumes here after two trials and has shown talent in his three race starts. He wasn’t beaten far when third on debut at Hawkesbury in February. 3. Gamp has been placed in five of six starts, including her past four since resuming from a spell. She should take running down. 5. Zing To Me has finished second in three of five starts and is worth plenty of thought.
How to play it: Whatalegacy to win.
Race 6
4. Crudo is on debut and has had two trials, finishing second in the latest at Gosford. He bears close watching. 9. Laimi had two solid trials before a midfield debut behind Balmain Darling at Newcastle and can be a factor on that performance. 3. Afterfrost is on debut after a number of trials, while 5. Hard Jakka has had two trials and performed well in each of them.
How to play it: Crudo to win.
Race 7
3. Chidiac won her first three starts in good style before a close-up ninth in Highway grade at Randwick. She won a Scone trial before resuming with a dominant win at that track and has won another trial there leading into this. 13. The Piccolino won a couple on end at Quirindi and Scone and has since been placed in two runs at Scone and Port Macquarie. 5. Jacob’s Ladder was placed in two Warwick Farm runs before a Canberra win and was spelled after a seventh at Eagle Farm. He has had a couple of trials leading into this. 7. Maili resumes after a third in a Rosehill trial and can run well fresh.
How to play it: Chidiac to win.
Race 8
5. Lease was second up from a spell at Coffs Harbour two starts ago and worked forward to race on the speed before holding on well for a strong win. He was midfield at Taree following that and can take running down again. 7. Community is resuming and has shown ability in his career. He’s had two trials leading into this and could sprint well fresh. 2. Show County won in good style at Hawkesbury two runs back and then was a solid sixth in Midway company at Rosehill. 6. Ilovenews has been racing well with a second and a win in his past two Scone runs.
