Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

1. Brucey is on debut from the Matthew Dale stable and looked good in his only trial when scoring a win at Goulburn. He’s drawn ideally here in barrier two and the booking of Nick Heywood is a good pointer to his chances. 5. Brave Xena is also on debut and comes into this after a midfield effort in a Moruya trial. She bears close watching. 3. Dunna Runna has been just behind the placings in both starts to date and can get into the minor money here without surprising. 2. Falcon Gold was placed at this track in December and hasn’t raced since a ninth at Wagga on Christmas Eve.

How to play it: Brucey WIN.

Race 2

4. Triptolemus ran fifth at Albury on debut in July and followed that up with a victory at Forbes in a small field before being spelled. He since resumed from a spell at Wagga and did the job well when scoring an all the way win. He’s drawn well in this and can go on with the job. 7. Wonderful Mistake did the job well when starting favourite to score a last-start win at Cowra and also won at Gundagai four starts ago. She should be in the thick of things again. 9. Lady Yarrow won her maiden at this track when last produced and can show up again with a repeat of that performance. 3. Cashbook will find this easier than a last start Highway event when he was down the track at Rosehill.

How to play it: Triptolemus WIN.

Race 3

3. Jazz All Knight has been racing well, having scored a win at this track two starts ago and backing that up with a last-start second also at this track. She should race on the speed and take plenty of beating. 7. Shezain resumed from a lengthy spell to score a win at Moruya at just her second start in a race, and she looks to have plenty of upside. 4. Our Little Star ran well when a last-start second at Cowra and has claims again, while 1. Straight Fire is resuming from a spell and has a good first-up record.

How to play it: Jazz All Knight EACH WAY.

Race 4

3. Flashy Icon is in good form with two seconds from his last two starts at Canberra and Albury. He gets his chance to break through again in this if he can maintain that form. 1. Bombelleistic has been placed in three straight Moruya events since scoring at this track and warrants respect. 2. Burgundy Girl was placed at Canberra last time out and can be thereabouts again, while 5. Jimmy Manolo hasn’t been far away of late and has claims.

How to play it: Flashy Icon WIN.

Race 5

6. Ring Of Fire is lightly raced and has two placings from four starts. He ran third at Wagga when last produced and looks to have the ability to match it with these. 5. Brundee Tom resumed from a spell with a fourth at Gosford and can be thereabouts with a repeat of that. 1. C’mon Wicksy was placed at Albury at his latest start and should figure again, while 10. Belleistic Bonny was placed here at her second start in a race, and a forward showing wouldn’t surprise.

How to play it: Ring Of Fire WIN.

Race 6

9. Cougars was well backed when doing the job well to score a Highway win at Randwick two starts ago. He followed that up with a last at Wyong, but is better suited here and can atone. 5. Panic was close-up when a last-start third at Kembla Grange and should be prominent again. 7. Lambay won at Gundagai three starts ago and comes into this after a last start second at Moruya when narrowly beaten. 8. Chasing A Quid wasn’t beaten far when second at Canberra last time out and warrants respect again.

How to play it: Cougars WIN.

Race 7

6. Associate was in good form, winning two on end at Hawkesbury and Wagga, before a last-start sixth on the Kensington track at Randwick. This is easier and a return to form is on the cards. 1. Zouatica is an eight-time winner from 29 starts and wasn’t beaten far when a last-start fifth in the Moruya Cup. 5. Belleistic Kids followed a fourth in the Snake Gully Cup with a fifth on the Kensington track and looks suited in this event. 10. Dumebi won the Narooma Cup before a last-start fourth in the Moruya Cup and should be thereabouts again.

How to play it: Associate WIN.

Race 8

5. Remadosi started favourite in a small field at this track when last produced and justified the quote to score a strong win. She can go on with the job here with a repeat of that. 11. Sir Lunchalots won in good style at Wagga when last produced and can be in the thick of things again with a repeat. 10. Sanzeno is a last start Wagga placegetter that has claims on that effort. 2. Miss Stalwart has been placed in her latest two starts and can get into the money again.
