Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

1. Autumn King has had two starts and finished second in each of them. He resumes from a spell here on the back of two trial wins either side of a little break and looks poised to break through with a maiden victory. 6. Harmene is a filly on debut, and she has had four trials in total. She won the first three and ran third in the latest of them at Scone. 10. Moke Lake has been racing well with placings in his latest four starts, and he should be in the finish of this again. 3. Warbreccan resumes from a spell here and showed ability in his three starts midway through last year.

How to play it: Autumn King WIN.

Race 2

6. Keystrike is a Profiteer gelding having his first start and he’s been fitted for this with a number of trials. He won the latest of them over subsequent Skyline Stakes winner Campione D’Italia. 1. Drumfire is a colt on debut that has trialled twice and finished second in each of them. He looks primed to run well. 3. Flight Of Power won the latest of his trials at Hawkesbury, and a forward showing is on the cards. 10. My Queen is a well-bred filly having her first start after two trials and she bears close watching.

How to play it: Keystrike WIN.

Race 3

3. Olympian had looked good in his trials before debuting with a second at Scone when safely held by the winner. He should be better for that experience and can go one better in this. 9. Ready Made Heir started favourite and had her chance when fourth at Port Macquarie last time out. 8. Dundeel Flyer resumes after a fourth at Canberra and has had two trials in preparation. 12. Zousanity has had two runs back from a spell and performed well in each of them.

How to play it: Olympian WIN.

Race 4

4. Grandini has had three runs back from a spell and hasn’t been too far away in each of them. The step up in distance here looks made to order and a return to best form is on the cards. 5. Kahraba won well at Port Macquarie before a last start seventh at Hawkesbury when not too far away at the finish. 6. Ever Was bobs up every now and again and could get into the placings with a run to suit. 1. Disco Prince comes into this after a last start third at Tamworth.

How to play it: Grandini WIN.

Race 5

7. Currumbin Alley led throughout when resuming at Scone with a dominant win and a repeat of that would have him hard to hold out again in this. 10. Andale Andale looked good winning her first two starts before failing in her latest two starts. An improvement is on the cards here. 4. Favour The Bold has two wins and two seconds from four starts with his only unplaced run being a solid enough effort in a Highway at Rosehill. 2. Laizabout resumed with a solid third at Tamworth and is not out of this.

How to play it: Currumbin Alley WIN.

Race 6

2. Durova has a good record with five wins from 11 starts and returns to racing here after a sixth at Randwick before the spell. She ran fourth in a recent trial at Scone and can return in winning form. 3. Saratoga Power is first-up from a spell and was a Mudgee winner in December before a third at Eagle Farm. He also comes here after a fourth in a Scone trial. 6. Play My Song was racing well before being spelled and has returned in good order and can make an impact again. 9. Ritzsun is talented and resumes here after a recent second in a trial at Scone.

How to play it: Durova WIN.

Race 7

2. Navy Steel has been racing well with a Taree placing and a midfield Highway effort at Randwick being followed by a strong Rosehill Highway victory when last produced. He’s drawn to get a good run and should run a bold race. 3. Clear Thinking is the class runner having won The Kosciuszko last spring and finished fourth in The Hunter at Newcastle. She’s drawn awkwardly but can overcome that. 8. Chidiac resumes here and did run third in The Kosciuszko behind Clear Thinking so has the class to make an impact. 10. Pride To Follow is resuming after two trials and has shown the ability required to run well in this.

How to play it: Navy Steel EACH WAY.

Race 8

8. Antilocapra was midfield in a couple of Highway events at Rosehill before finishing fourth as favourite on the Beaumont track at Newcastle when last produced. She was close-up in that event and looks suited in this. 5. Athena’s Treasure was in form winning two on end after resuming and then followed a 10th in a Highway at Randwick with a last start second at Newcastle. She warrants plenty of thought. 6. Off The Scale hit the line well enough when a last start third in a Randwick Highway and has claims, while 10. Ivy Diva wasn’t beaten far at Hawkesbury when last produced.

How to play it: Antilocapra WIN.

Best Bets: Race 2 (6) Keystrike.
Race 4 (4) Grandini.

Best Value: Race 7 (2) Navy Steel.
