A man seen hanging out the back of a car revving and swinging a chainsaw in Brisbane is wanted by police.
Residents saw the man standing through the rear passenger window waving around the orange-and-white gardening implement, revving it loudly, while the car was being driven “erratically”.
The vehicle was seen along the Esplanade between Lota and Manly in the city’s east about 5.50pm on January 11.
The car was described as similar to a Toyota Corolla or Hyundai i30.

Police put out an alert on Wednesday saying they wanted witnesses to come forward, and were seeking dashcam or mobile phone footage to identify the vehicle registration and occupants.
“Investigations are ongoing,” a police spokesperson said.
