Long delays on Bruce Highway, motorcyclist fights for life

A motorbike rider is in a “life-threatening” condition after a crash with a truck on the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane.

The accident was near Dohles Rock Road at Murrumba Downs about 5.45am.

A Queensland Traffic spokesperson said road users travelling south should expect long delays.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service said the rider suffered life-threatening injuries but was not taken to hospital.

Police would not comment on the rider’s condition, but said the Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.

The crash happened minutes after a motorbike and truck collided in inner-Brisbane.

The crash was reported about 5.31am at the intersection of Montague Road and Beesley Street in West End.

That rider was taken to Prince Alexandria Hospital in a stable condition.
