Police were called to a non-suspicious sudden death at Mount Ommaney, in Brisbane’s south-west, about 9.50am.
“Police investigations in relation to this matter are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
Leavers became the first Cross-Border Commissioner in August last year, tasked with supporting cross-border communities in Queensland.
More to come.
